Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Melodic Hardcore band Social Drive from Brazil, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It came from a brainstorm among the members, we were starting the new project with a scheduled gig and we needed one, names are always difficult to choose because they often create labels, then we chose what sounded best phonetically and easy assimilation and writing. Nothing special.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The band was formed with the purpose to play this genre, is a genre that like all the band in common, there is no objectives to be achieved, just play what we like and have fun, to reach people so positive, even better.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

In the Beggining, the band was formed by friends with musical preferences in common and in order to make a sound over time, some members have been out, other friends of members went then, but what we can say is that band consists of good friends who enjoy doing what they like.

4. Each band member favourite band?

All we have musical preferences very similar into the hardcore, Filipe like The Fullblast, Daniel currently listen a Brazilian band named "Pense", Rafael likes Rufio, A Wilhelm Scream, Forus, Pense, The Fullblast, Mute, etc, Everton likes Belvedere, other Brazilian bands named "Dead Fish" and "Garage Fuzz" and Jonatha likes Mute, Belvedere, The Fullblast and Protest the hero.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The things of everyday life, concerns about how things happen, personal routine of each, and the internal relations among people, all that is observable or can be felt.

7. Where was your last gig?

It's happened in a pub named Eclipse Bar in our town, Porto Alegre/RS - Brazil, we played with great bands and was a great experience.

8. Where would you like to act?

We would like get an opportunity of playing in another cities of our state and in another states too, if in a day happens that we playing in another country even close to our country be would very good, we don't have prospects specific places, we'll go where our sound take us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be cool to play with the biggest and more influence Brazilian bands and that's a reference for our band and maybe play with great bands from abroad lately we can consider possible provided that there are people moving several international shows here.

9. Whom not?

Bands that are not of the same gender, would be a public contrast that sometimes is not very receptive depending on the style of other bands , melodic hardcore is in a very fine line between the traditional hardcore/punk and pop punk bands of the 90s here, love or hate on both sides.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Fear not but maybe nervousness, a bit of insecurity , that goose bumps. Perhaps the more shows the band make this nervousness fades gradually, each member have their experiences and their way to suppress or overcome fears and insecurities, sure is the stage is the best place to be , relax and concentrate on what is proposed to do and try to stay as if the will was not being seen would of great help.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Doing an intersection between the members musical preferences we can mention bands like Belvedere, Pense (Br), Mute, Dead Fish (Br), The Fullblast e A Wilhelm Scream.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We don't consider ourselves a band with fans, who usually like our music are friends or becomes one, as each member has had their experiences with other bands, even different genres, experienced situations such as requests for straws, shirts and even autograph, nothing abnormal.

13. What do you think of your fans?

As already mentioned, we do not have fans, just good friends, acquaintances and another bands colleagues. Only the fact that guys attend the shows for the prestige and identify with our songs already makes us not want to stop playing.

14. What do you think of our site?

I did not know until this contact, is a great initiative, excellent to make room for bands that are starting while sharing good best known works, any motivation to encourage art and give voice to those who need to speak in an increasingly trivial world is very important.

15. Something to add?

Tell our thanks to the invitation and interest in our songs, it will be very important to assist in the dissemination of our work, this time has been very important to us and you certainly already part of the history of the band. Thanks for your support and we hope to contribute to a new full length album soon. Continue with this beautiful work! A big hug and see you!
