Interviews: Red Seas Fire

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Metalcore band Red Seas Fire, from UK. Check out this band because they are amazing and do not forget to follow them in their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Jake: The name originates from an old Mastadon song.  Robin: The name was actually thought up before either of us were in the band haha

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Jake: Our genre over the years has progressed into something that we for now, are really happy with. The reason why, is that we can still make technically impressive music, but with the gritty rawness that gets people moving at shows.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Jake: No we did not, Robin joined the band way back at the beginning, with myself joining a year or so later after an audition. And late last year we had the others join.

Robin: Nope, but now we’re best of buds, right Jake? ….. Jake?

4. Each band member favourite band?

Jake: Saosin/Circa Survive

Robin: I know it gets said a lot but I don’t really have a favorite band, too many amazing bands out there old and new to have a favorite for me.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Jake: Life

Robin: I’m just constantly writing songs, I can’t really stop now, like if I’m walking along somewhere my head is just constantly writing.

6. Where was your last gig?

Jake: Tech Fest in Newark last July

7. Where would you like to act?

Jake: Download Festival

Robin: Download would be a big one, Leeds and Reading Festival I use to go to a lot when I was younger so that would be pretty cool.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Jake: Someone like Sam Carter or Caleb Shomo featuring on a track would be pretty cool.  Robin: Mike Shinoda would be pretty interesting

9. Whom not?

Jake: Spice Girls.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Jake: Just don't care what anyone thinks, as long as you're prepped on your stage performance and the songs, you have nothing to worry about.

Robin: No not really ever had stage fright. I think you just get to a point where you realize that standing still being nervous about how you look on stage is actually worse than really get in to it and enjoying yourself.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Jake: Bands like Parkway Drive and Architects, purely down to their tour diaries, have made us just want to get out there and relentlessly tour.

Robin: Most inspiring bands for me are usually the ones that display crazy work ethic, that usually the most inspiring thing for me seeing someone reap the rewards for their effort.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Jake: It was probably in Norway, when we had a swarm of young kids asking us to sign anything and everything, Tshirts, body parts, socks. You name it, we signed it!

Robin: Someone asked me if they could blog about me, I thought that was unusual, not weird but unusual haha

13. What do you think of your fans?

Jake: They are some of the most supportive, passionate fans we know of. They're not afraid to speak their minds, but they are always behind what we do and the decisions that we make.

Robin: Yeah are fans are really great, always behind us and it makes a world of difference having that kind of support.

14. What do you think of our site?

Jake: It's great!

Robin: Shaweeeet
