Interviews: Echoes

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Post-Hardcore/Metalcore band Echoes, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

It took us a good while to think of a name until someone came up with ECHOES. we all felt it had a nice ring to it so we decided it was the one. It ended up working perfect because echoes are reflections of sound and we want to reflect who we are through our music and others.  

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Everyone in the metal scene is so passionate about their art and the energy is insane. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Our singer Danny and drummer Cory were friends before the band and our screamer Drew and guitarist Zach knew each other since 7th grade.     

4. Each band member favourite band? 

 Collectively it A day to remember and Memphis may fire. 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

We find inspiration everywhere, in Movies, Real situations, Other writers and through life.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Our last two gigs were at The Rialto,  which is a staple venue in tucson and Garys place were we played a local show with a bunch of our buds. 

7. Where would you like to act?  

Everywhere, anywhere really. But more specifically, wed love to get a couple of summers in at warped tour.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

We think it would so fun to play with A day to remember, or anyone who would want to haha.  

9. Whom not?  

Not really opposed to anyone... except maybe country artists lol.  

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Our very first show we were all extremely nervous and eager to share our hearts with everyone. I think the easiest thing to do was to just do it. As soon as we hit that stage all fear was gone and we never wanted to leave. Our advice for anyone with stage fright would be to understand you are only human. You might make mistakes here and there like all of us do. But the most important part is to be confident. You are not up there by accident.  

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

We draw inspiration from bands that have a message to share and are playing reason for a positive reason.  

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

Someone asked our drummer to sign his back..... he did.    

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are incredible. We call our fans our friends, we are really intentional with them.

14. What do you think of our site?

ECHOES is on the rise. We just released our self titled ep which you can purchase on iTunes and stream it on youtube,spottily,google play. We love everyone and are thankful for their commitment towards us. Keep an eye out.
