Interviews: Through Her Eyes

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Through Her Eyes, from USA. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We came up with the name "Through Her Eyes" randomly one day just brainstorming. It was one of the first choices we brought up, and we chose it and stuck to it from the start!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Metalcore is a genre we have all been listening to for quite some time now and its a genre we have always wanted to play individually. All of our members have come from previous bands and previous genres, and we all came together with Through Her Eyes with the goal of having hard hitting breakdowns, melodic and catchy chorus's

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

All of us have known each other through music and going to local shows and through friends.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Chad Sutliff: The Amity Affliction

Harrison Seanor: Fit For a King

Jake Ratelle: Like Moths to Flames

Tom Rehor: Beartooth

Sean Kawczak: Aiden

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Its a mixture of many different aspects. Harrison and Jake write like crazy and are in their own mindset until they accomplish what they set their mind to do! Our EP "Hymns of the Broken Hearted" was inspired and influenced by depression and real life situations. Our new material "Introvert" for example; are songs that are inspired by our feelings, and true life stories that our fans can related to when listening to on an album and or seeing us at live shows. When they hear our music and or see us live, we make sure to leave the impression of an amazing show and not just another live show. We put our heart and souls into the music we create.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig that we played was the Young Souls tour in Poughkeepsie, New York featuring Myka Relocate, Out Came the Wolves, and Light up the Sky.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would like to perform anywhere and everywhere we get the opportunity too. We will play with just as much energy and heart if there was five people in the room or five hundred. We will be traveling across the United States this year on three tours.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be an honor to work Ryan O'leary from Fit For a King. Ryan has been a friend of our band and a huge supporter and motivator from the start of Through Her Eyes.

9. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Yes, all of our members have suffered through stage fright before. The best way to conquer it is to get up there and just do it. That is the only way you will be able to live your dream is by being strong and believing in yourself and that you can do it and play in front of people.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

The Plot in You, Fit For a King, Normandie, Crooks, Beartooth, The Amity Affliction, Sworn In, and Asking Alexandria are some bands on a massive list of bands that have inspired us the most.

11. What do you think of your fans?

We love our fans very much and it means the world to us whenever we see someone picking up items for our merch store, messaging us, hanging out and talking to us after we play a set. Our fans are the reason we are making music today and are going to continue working hard to put out songs that they will enjoy. If it wasn't for our fans, Through Her Eyes wouldn't exist. Our fan base is very important to us.

12. What do you think of our site?

We Think BTC is a great site to promote new and upcoming musicians and bands from all over the world. We are very honored to have our new song "Introvert" featured!
