News: YOUTH MAN Reveal 'Painted Blue' Video & Festival Dates
Following the release of their critically acclaimed new EP Wax on Venn Records last month and a much-lauded set at the hallowed punk ground of Rebellion Festival this week, fast-rising Birmingham noise-punk trio YOUTH MAN are pleased to reveal the video for new single ‘Painted Blue’.
A slick look at their increasingly stream-lined live performance, the new video is a continuation of the band’s desire to present an unfiltered and undiluted version of their music.

Front woman Kaila Whyte comments on the track: “This song is the most personal on the record. It was written at a time when we realised that due to social media we had surrounded ourselves with like-minded people and the social and political values we have aren’t necessarily shared with the rest of the country. Facebook had given us a false sense of security. The song is having a go at the deceptive tactics used in politics today and calling on people like us who aren’t content with the climate and saying we’re not alone. It’s a bit of a love letter to Jeremy Corbyn too.”
Hot on the heels of a coveted UK/EU support tour with LA soul-punx letlive. as well as their own run of UK headline dates in celebration of the new EP, the trio will be appearing at Afropunk London and Underground Festival over the coming weeks.
Youth Man also recently headlined the Roundhouse Punk Weekender celebrating the 40th anniversary of the punk movement, described as "a chaotic, shrieking, wrecking-ball of a live show...one of the most exciting new bands in the country."
Released digitally and on limited edition 300 pressing 12" on frosted clear wax, the band also took a ton of polaroids during the recording process exclusively available in a booklet that bundled with the vinyl copy of the EP - on sale now:http://hyperurl.co/YouthManBundle
