Interviews: Revealer

In this new occasion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Revealer, from UK. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We just liked the name and it stuck. No real crazy reason behind it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Generally we just wanted to write heavy music that we wanted to hear. We’re beginning to incorporate a doomy aspect to the music because we really like that darker sound when put into a metalcore setting.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all played in bands in the past but nothing that held its place in our hearts, so inevitably, those bands fell apart and we started something we really felt passionate about.

4. Each band member favourite band?

This often seems to change quite often for us but:

Tom: Incubus

George: Underoath

Jonny: Audioslave

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our music always derives from a dark place, wether it’s mental health, suffering or personal demons. The music seems to flow quite naturally off the back of this.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was ‘Rock Against Dementia’ in Coventry with Lotus Eater in support of Alzheimers Society. It was an amazing show for an amazing charity.

7. Where else would you like to play?

We love playing anywhere and everywhere. Playing shows is our escape from reality for half an hour. Our aspirations are to go to mainland Europe and to potentially play a UK festival such as Download; that would be incredible.

8. Who would you like to support?

It would be amazing to one day support Architects; they’re a huge reason behind us wanting to start Revealer.

9. Who not?

We're down for supporting anyone if it grants us the opportunity to play to new people.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We have done in the past. Warming up before playing has often helped us all deal with this though.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Seeing heavy bands such as Parkway Drive go from playing tiny venues to now selling out arenas is incredible. Watching their documentaries just blew our minds. Also seeing a lot of our friends in UK bands do so well for themselves at the minute gives us a huge motivational boost.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

An old couple asked for a photo with our vocalist after unexpectedly loving the show. They were really sweet.

13. What do you think of your fans?

The people who give us their time and positive responses give us a reason to keep making music and playing shows. We owe these people a lot.

14. What do you think of our site?

Great! Sites like this give smaller bands the opportunity they may need to get their name out there.

15. Something to add?

Our new single ‘Nothing; No One’ is out 20/10/17. This is our darkest and most foreboding experience so far. This is the next chapter of Revealer. Be prepared @revealeruk. Thank you.
