Interviews: Lostthreads

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Lostthreads from Philippines. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

The name of the band has no significant meaning to us but its just something that sounds striking at that time and we just live through with it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We actually started playing some cover from bands like Thursday, Underoath and the likes and our music preferences just evolves and got heavier and more agressive over time.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Clang and Paul are the founders of the band and been friends brothers ever since. Then, Derrick, Ivan and Jay came along from common friends after some few lineup changes.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Clarence - Underoath

Paul - August Burns Red

Derrick - Counterparts

Ivan - Misery Signals

Jay - Meshuggah

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Mainly our observation and perception of what's happening throughout the world and our life experiences.

6. Where was your last gig?

We recently played on an annual festival at a local province here in the Philippines wherein most heavy band shows are being held.

7. Where would you like to act?

Hopefully out of the country like Hong Kong, Japan or even the US if possible.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any of the bands who influenced us from the beginning would be great!

9. Whom not?

One Directon? If they still exist. lol.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We still do experience some sort of stage fright until now and it's mostly due to technical aspects of playing on a show.

Probably, one thing we could give as a tip for beginners is to always be prepared. Practice, check instruments, show set list, etc. are some of the things that should always be considered before playing on a show.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Underoath and Architects are those who inspired us to push ourselves as a band and individual musicians.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

As far as we know, we haven't received a weird request from a fan.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Insanely supportive since day one!

14. What do you think of our site?

It's actually a big help for mid level bands who does their best to show their music to the world! Props to breathingthecore!
