Interviews: Slimboy

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the  Alternative Rock/Punk/Rock band Slimboy, from UK. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

Well, we needed a name back in 2000. We took fatboy slim and turned it around to slimboy fat. After a year we cut the fat and went on with slimboy only.

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

We don't see us in a specific genre. We just love pop/punk/rock/alternative.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

No. We met through friends in 2007 and 2011

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Way too many. We like so many different stuff like; Metallica, Dire straits, Green day, The ataris...there's too any to name all.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

My life.

6. Where was your last gig? 

In the UK. in Canterbury, with the Ataris.

7. Where would you like to play? 

I don't mind playing Leeds and Reading someday..HAHA.

8. Who would you like to support? 

Whatever fits musically. We do it.

9. Who not? 

We're probably not the best choice to been put as support of a classical concert. HA.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

We definitely have and sometimes still have. There's no cure. HA. You have to get through it..sometimes i like to be nervous..

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Way too many, but bands like the ataris, mxpx, etc are an inspiration.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

What's your shoe size. i asked why? she said i was looking at your feet during the show and was thinking about that.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

Everybody who gets at shows and listens to real music is awesome to me!

14. What do you think of our site?

It's cool. i didn't know there's so many different core-styles..HA. Nintendo core is weird to me. HAHA.
