Interviews: Lilith And Knight

In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Metal band Lilith And Knight from UK. Check out the interview and this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

The band name comes from a mythical being in Jewish literature. Lilith was made from the same earth as Adam. She was his equal and as a result they clashed when she wouldn't allow herself to be dominated by him. She fled from Eden and is now seen by some as a fallen angel and by others as the first feminist. She is an awesomely strong character and the perfect name for the front woman of our band. As for "The Knight", well, we just thought that sounded cool! 

2.Why did you want to play this genre? 

We all have varied influences but we all have a shared passion for heavy hitting music and softer more melodic interludes. Our music reflects all of our individual influences blended into songs.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

No, Lilith held auditions 3 years ago and Adam joined the band. Tom came in a year later to replace the original bass player and Sam is the latest addition on drums.

4. Each band member favourite band? 

Lilith: System of a Down

Adam: The Beatles

Thomas: Counterparts

Sam: Kamelot

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs? 

Lilith’s lyrics are the reflection of how we see the current state of the world. She focuses on social injustice and inequality. Our latest single War cry is based on the idea that politicians send their people to war while they remain in the safety of their offices and homes.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was at The Quinphonic Festival in Birmingham.

7. Where would you like to play? 

We would love to play in the U.S!!

8. Who would you like to support? 

Hands off Gretel have been doing some really cool stuff and we would love to share the stage with them.

9. Whom not? 

Justin Bieber.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

Everyone experiences some degree of nervousness before going on stage but for most of us, once we get playing all of that goes away and we just enjoy the show. My main tip would be to trust in yourself and practice!

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

System of a Down is a band we all love and have immense respect for. But we all draw inspirations from different genres.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

If they could lick Tom’s tattooed nipples…

13. What do you think of your fans? 

They are great!! We wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for them showing up to our shows and motivating us to keep writing music! We are very grateful for everyone who supports us.
