Interviews: A NIGHT LIKE THIS
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The name comes from a song by band but now has taken on a lot of Personal meaning, a night like this is a safe place for everyone.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
For a very long time and still some times to this day we didn’t really have a genre, we just wrote the songs that we wanted to, I think going in to 2019 we have a much clearer idea of a cohesive sound and direction.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
For a few months as joe and Dom went to college together and dan ( O’brain) was also in our class, then over time when members left Dan ended up part of the team, but year Dom and joe new each other for a while before starting any music related projects.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Dom hoven - trophy eyes
Josef Lovett - fever 333
Ronan samolinski - Issues
Dan Phillips - the foofighters
Dan o’brain - alter bridge
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Each other, life, mental health, anything and everything really, we just want to connect with people and we find we do that best by writing about real things.
6. Where was your last gig?
Swansea supporting our local pals dream state.
7. Where would you like to act?
We want to play shows everywhere, 2019 is a year of growth for us, if you want us in your town then tell us.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Sam Carter would be the ultimate, CJ from Dream State, Zand. All of these artists would bring something to any song we give them
9. Whom not?
There isn’t anyone we wouldn’t like to work with, if an artist brings something to our song then we want them if not then it’s obviously not meant to be.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Ronan our drummer probably suffered the worst, but I think we have so much love for each other and playing that we channel any emotion in to our shows. Our advice would be to just keep going, if you fall get up and try again.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
We take inspiration from bands that connect others their fan bases, I think that’s what inspires us the most, so bands like holding absence, sleep token, loathe all connect on an amazing level with their fans
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We’ve never had anything weird just the normal photos, anyone wanna ask us some weird things we will just get Ronan to do all the weird funny things.
13. What do you think of your fans?
They’re the reason we do this, interactions with people who like us drives us to do more and be better. We love everyone that listens to us.
14. What do you think of our site?
Awesome, any place that provides a platform for bands like us is a winner in our books
15. Something add?
2019 will be a very interesting year for us, new music, tours and much more to come, we hope people will join us and we hope that what we have planned makes a lot of people happy
