Interviews: Liquid Therapy

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band, Liquid Therapy, from Belgium. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Gino And Davy came up with the name. We like drinking a beer from time to time and after all, drinking together can be some sort of therapy.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

I think it is a relatively open genre where we can all find ourselves in. It has a bit of different genres mixed up . I think we will evolve more to a harder side of the genre on our next songs we will record.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Davy and Gino knew each other since a very long time and they originally founded the band. The other guys joined later and we didn’t knew each other.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Davy: Motorhead

Gino: Parkway drive

Kristof: Volbeat

Hans: H2O

Bart: Seether 

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Bart, our singer, mostly does all the lyric writing. He gets inspired by the usual day to day things of life. Love, anger, drugs, alcohol,...The music is mostly written by someone who drops a new riff and we start jamming along.

6. Where was your last gig?

That’s already a long time ago. May 2019, after that we went in the studio to record our debut album Breathe that took a few months. Then just before our release show, the covid situation hit us hard and we had to cancel everything.

7. Where would you like to perform?

We would like to perform on some big stages or small venues. As long as we can play live we will be happy. Because now it has been too long ago.

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

Why not dream high and pick one of the bands in our favourite bands list although Motorhead will be kind of hard I guess.

9. Whom not?

We would play with anyone I think. Who are we to judge other bands or whatever?

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I don’t suffer stage fright to be honest. My suggestion would be to be well prepared and just have one or two beers before you get up. After the first few notes you will play, you will forget you are on a stage in front of people.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

I think as you can see we all have a different history of favourite bands. I think our genre is a mixture of all of them to be honest. Seether, motorhead, Volbeat, Alice in chains,Tool,...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

It was not really a weird thing but on one of our shows we gave away an electric guitar for charity and the winner asked us to sing the guitar with a marker.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They are the reason why we do this of course. Without them there are no shows, so all our love goes out to the people who are following us and come to our shows.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think your site is great as it features a very big list of genres and you give the platform for people to experience new music from bands all over the world. Keep up the good work.
