Interviews: Freedivers

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band, Freedivers, from Spain. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that? 

Some time ago I was very attached to the practice of free diving. I think it is something very romantic. To immerse yourself in another world so different with just a breath. So I thought it was a good name for the band.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Well, I, like my bandmates, have grown up listening to this music, bands that we have followed and that have influenced us. although each of us has his own influences.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, I did not know Sergi and Xavi before starting the project, they are brothers. I met Sergi just before starting the project, and Xavi came later

4. Each band member favourite band?

My favorite band is Nirvana, and I know that the others agree with me, but it is also a bit difficult to define it. We have several preferences for different bands

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our songs are inspired by everyday stories, with which many people can feel identified, there is also something personal in them. 

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last concert was in a small club in Barcelona, something very intimate, basically for friends. all songs were acoustic 

7. Where would you like to perform?

We have no predilection for any specific site. If there is a stage and people who are willing to listen to us, we are already happy.

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

There are many bands with which we would like to share the stage, but if we said the name of one of them, it would be Foo Fighters. It is a band that we follow and of which we are fans. We love the music they make.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that? 

I think every musician has suffered from stage panic at some time. It is normal. The advice to overcome is to have confidence in yourself, then enjoy and focus on connecting with the public. I think this resolves the situation.

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Our music is heavily influenced by the Seattle music scene of the 90's. Bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and other

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Our experiences with fans have always been very rewarding and enriching. I remember that on one occasion someone asked us if we liked animals and insisted on giving us a snake.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

The fans are an essential part of the process, they are like the branches of the tree, without them it would not be possible. We love each of our fans, and we thank them

14. What do you think of our site?

It's great!! we are glad that there are people like you who, with their work, make such sites exist and give us the opportunity to appear in them. We hope to be here on other occasions.
