Interviews: Cincinatti Bowtie

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Deathcore band, Cincinatti Bowtie from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Dan, the drummer from a previous band (now helps with lyrics) suggested the name after watching the film 40 Year Old Virgin. We used to do jam sessions in between band practices and was the name given to the jam band. The spelling is then the one used on the Urban Dictionary.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

I was brought up around the heavier style music, bands like Rush, Motorhead, Bad Country, etc would play and I would get into it. Early teens Nu -Metal exploded on the scene and was certainly a push towards wanting to make music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

It's only me

4. Each band member favourite band?

The Black Dahlia Murder

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Performing in bands during the Myspace era was a lot of fun, seeing peoples faces enjoying the show and having a good time, that's what its all about. And recently with my old band Quaint was the same. So knowing that people want to hear more makes me want to continue. It's just a lot of fun!!

6. Where was your last gig?

Santiago's in Leeds with Quaint 7. Where would you like to act?

Sheffield Corp

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Trevor Strnad

9. Whom not?

Not sure

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

A few time's, but it's similar to the above. Knowing people are there to see you perform, doesn't matter if your the headliner or not, people are there to see you play, which should give you a confidence boost. Try not to think too much about it and just enjoy the stage!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

The Black Dahlia Murder, Early Myspace era Deathcore bands

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing weird yet i don't think

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're the best! They help promote my music and always give me feedback which is great. They are all a fantastic support!

14. What do you think of our site?

It's awesome! You've introduced me to so many bands and have some fantastic features!

15. Something to add?

My latest album MALICHOR is out now, please give it a listen on any streaming platform, Thank you!!
