Interviews: Standing Crew

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock band, Standing Crew from Finland. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or came out just like that?

The band started as a two men's therapy project without an actual drummer, so there were only guys witch stands on stage...

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We always liked 80-90s hard rock bands, and after 20 years of punk rock that was just something different.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed? 

At the first lineup, we got Dr. Gravehill on the second guitar, and TJ knew him before the band started. On the second lineup, we all somehow knew each other. Let's see what kind of situation we have with a new vocalist.

4. Each band member's favorite band? 

TJ: Anthrax

Michael: The Clash

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

TJ: Experiences of past, or just fancy lines you get on your head in the shower.

6. Where was your last gig?

In our hometown Lapua. That was a small festival called Venetsialaiset.

7. Where would you like to act?

Madison Square Carden

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

There is many great artist and bands, but I think Billy Idol would be awesome.

9. Whom not?

Artist who are racist, misogyny, etc.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Well, of course, we all have. Practice well, learn songs, and maybe have a few beers (but not get drunk!).

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Mötley Crue, Guns 'n' Roses, Hanoi Rocks.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for you? 

Encore!!

13. What do you think of your fans?

Everyone, who likes our music is a bit weird, but in a good way of course.

14. What do you think of our site? 

Great site! We all need more sites like this, which help indie bands.
