Interviews: Quzarra

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Metal/Nu-Metal band Quzarra from Israel. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it, or came out just like that?

Quzar (qoozar)is the hebrew pronunciation of Khazar, the nation that was one of the forefathers of European Jews The name Quzarra was invented by founders of the band Dan Sverdlik and Pavel Kogan.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because we all love nu-metal like Korn, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chambers and etc.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes. Pavel and Dan have been members of their previous bands.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Pavel (vocals): Korn

Ivan (guitars): Korn

Dan (bass): Cypress Hill

Alex (drums): Lamb of God

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

All things surround us. And we are working in collaboration with our big friend and very talented poetess Tania Lavi

6. Where was your last gig?

Tel Aviv, Gagarin club, Metal4Peace metal fest

7. Where would you like to act?

We want our music to be listened to by as much as possible people

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Weld likes to feature with some of the bigger nu-metal/alt-metal bands.

9. Whom not?

Pop-bands, punk-bands

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We are beginners ourselves.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Korn, Limp Bizkit, Tool, Deftones

Your site gives a stage and big support to little bands like us.
