Interviews About Albums: TOWARDS HELLFIRE - Death Upon The Holy Throne (2023)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Polish Black Metal band TOWARDS HELLFIRE to ask some questions about their new album "Death Upon The Holy Throne". 

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

This is our first full-length album but before we didn't release any demos or EPs, that was our target to attack with a debut album at once. The target has been just reached thanks to Putrid Cult

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

Death upon The Holy Throne - the meaning is very simple. We wish that all which is sancted for the majority soon will be dead.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

I composed the whole music for this album and I wrote all the lyrics as well. (R) 

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

It's a hard question because I like the whole album, but if I had to choose, probably I would pick "Nocturnal Rites or Hammer For Betrayal.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

As I said above - it's a death wish for the holy ones.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

Not exactly, you can find all lyrics in the album booklet and choose your favorite on your own.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Swedish black metal scene in general - bands like Dissection, old Necrophobic, Unanimated, etc. Probably bands like Desaster and some Norwegian bands like Old Mayhem and Immortal inspired us as well.
