Interviews: Crostpaths

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rap Metal band, Crostpaths from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Unfortunately, The Beatles was already taken so we had to think of an equally great alternative. Luckily, one fateful night, listening to our favourite song ("Crossroads" by Blazin' Squad) we had an epiphany.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We failed at jazz.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Do you ever really truly know someone? Keep your friends close but your enemies closer...

4. Each band member favourite band?

We all love Hanson but Mikey prefers The Jonas Brothers because he has a less sophisticated palate than the rest of us.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our lord and saviour, William Frederick Durst.

6. Where was your last gig?

Brighton, last Hallowe'en. Our next show is the EP launch at The Black Heart, Camden on 26th May.

7. Where would you like to perform?

Download Festival

8. Whom would you like to perform with?

Don Broco, Skindred, Fever 333, Ho99o9, Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit

9. Whom not?

Never say never.

10. Have any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Good ol' Dutch courage if you drink. Breathing exercises, meditation and positive mental attitude if you don't. Nervous energy is important when performing.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Elastic ones are pretty useful.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Fans are asking for things now? Artificial Intelligence is really getting out of hand man...

13. What do you think of your fans?

We're thankful that they help to keep us cool in the summer.

14. What do you think of our site?

In all seriousness we love any space which gives a platform to underground artists, so thank you for doing what you do. Breathing the Core is awesome!

15. Something to add?
