Interviews: Forced Hand

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal/Groove Metal/Death Metal band, Forced Hand from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We are fans first and foremost and we felt like weren't hearing the music we wanted to hear in our local scene. So our hand was forced to create it.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It comes naturally and feels right to continue playing our brand of metal.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we've all been around our local scene in some form or another.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Rush, Death, old Sepultura, Pantera, Acid Bath, Black Sabbath & Iron Maiden

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It's very organic, one of us brings in a riff or a melody and we just go from there.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was a hometown show with some great local acts.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would play anywhere we were welcome.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We're not picky, we're down to party and have a good time with anyone.

9. Whom not?

Like I said, we'll play with anyone.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Every time you put yourself out there it takes a toll on your nerves. Whether it's taking the stage or going into the studio. The only tip is to do it and keep doing it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

This stems from the previous question about our favorite bands. We draw inspiration from all of them and everything in between.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Don't think we've ever had a weird question per se but I'll add a story that piggybacks off the stage fright question. Like I said we've all been around the local scene in PA for quite some time but some of us haven't taken the stage in close to a decade or more. So the night of our first show, nerves were high as we were setting up to take the stage and this woman steps right into the pit and fills the floor with pink vomit

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're awesome, we've had such a great response and reaction so far.

14. What do you think of our site?

I dig it, it's really cool to see lesser-known artists getting the attention they deserve.

15. Something to add?

Thanks so much for taking the time to talk to us and keep fighting the good fight!
