Interviews: AMONARCHY

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Hard Rock/Metal band, AMONARCHY from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

I'm really inspired by bands like Queen. I wanted to call our project MONARCHY but realized there was no way that wasn't already taken. So I decided to call it AMONARCHY which means one kingdom, one world because this world is so divided and my goal has always been to bring people together with music.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Ever since I was little I was into bands like the Rolling Stones, ACDC and I noticed over time my taste in music was just getting harder and harder and I started listening to this radio station KROQ which led me to Metallica and that became my favorite band ever since and that kind of music just gives me an energy like no other genre. It makes me feel more alive than anything else.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I knew Sam (our bassist) before Amonarchy was formed and we met at a bar in Boston through mutual friends. We realized we had similar tastes in music and I posted an ad on Instagram saying looking for bass players and he was the first person that responded so here we are.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

KYLE: Metallica

SAM: Nine Inch Nails

TONY: Red Hot Chili Peppers

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

My mom always pushed me to keep going when I would feel lazy. She is an amazing woman. What goes on in this dark world inspires me more than anything though. Division, chaos, disorder... You'll hear that in most every song. I also wrote one about my father who passed away in a helicopter accident in 2015 "Man in The Sky"

6. Where was your last gig?

Viper Room on Cinco De Mayo. It was crazy and awesome.

7. Where would you like to act?

I'd love to play at venues like the forum or Sofi Stadium and those sized venues across the world.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

My top 3 dream features would be Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, James Hetfield from Metallica, and Ozzy Osbourne from Black Sabbath.

9. Whom not?

R. Kelly

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

I've never really suffered from stage fright but I will say sometimes I get nervous before a show but one thing that I've always done to beat that is channel it into excitement. Make that nervousness, excitement. Make it positive!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Rage Against the Machine, Linkin Park, RHCP, Queen

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Someone asked me to sign their nipple... not their boob but their nipple.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're honestly the thing that keeps me going and one of the reasons that inspire me to keep writing when I feel like giving up. I have a lot to say and they seem to want to hear me. I'm grateful for that.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think this website is really great for discovering new bands, and I also love that it has its own submission for Spotify playlists which is a very helpful tool that can help discover new bands, so I think this website is doing really amazing work trying to get new bands names out there. It definitely is very organized with the toolbar with new bands, new music, and which countries they’re all from.

15. Something you'd like to add?

LISTEN TO THE NEW FUCKIN' ALBUM!
