Interviews: Burguli

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Black Metal artist, Burguli from Spain. Check out the interview and follow the artist on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was a process of looking for something dark that represents me. After a quite long process of looking for different words and languages, I found Burgûli, shadows in Mordor tongue, and that was the name chosen.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

This is what I feel that represents me. I think that my manner of thinking and feeling about this world is very related to the genre.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Well, actually, the band is just me, Kondea Gorthaur.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

I don’t have a favorite band, I use to prefer old-school Black Metal from Norway, but there are also, very good bands in France, Ukraine, Sweden, Germany, etc.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Inspiration can come from anywhere, sometimes it is the song itself, sometimes my thoughts and feelings, other times something that I have read. There is no just one specific thing that inspires me.

6. Where was your last gig?

Burgûli doesn’t play live. It was not conceived with this idea and will never play live.

7. Where would you like to act?

This question is answered with the previous one.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I am not pretty much interested in featuring with someone. Just play my music and show it to the world. Maybe in the future with someone that I meet closely, but not in that moment.

9. Whom not?

Now with everyone.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I don’t play live, so I have neither suffered from stage fright.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Probably the ones that begin the genre, old-school Black Metal.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Till the moment no weird requests.

13. What do you think of your fans?

I don’t use to think about them. I just play music.

14. What do you think of our site?

I think it is a good task. In those times of overexposure to mainstream music, it is a very good task for anyone who shows and promotes underground music.

15. Something to add?

Just say thanks to you for this interview.
