Interviews: Nine Left Dead

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock band, Nine Left Dead from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

So the band name was very planned because when I named the band my sports number was 9 and I was struggling with the idea I had been abandoned by God to die hence the meaning 9 being myself was left to die. 9 Left Dead. But 9 Left Dead was actually my side project that the band would just take the name from. And the actual meaning would change for us as life kind of unfolded and told more of the story to us. That was more like Chapter 1.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Oh, we didn’t want to play in this genre, we tried our best to be something that paid better like red dirt or a pop band haha. It’s in our blood, part of our souls even I’d say. In all seriousness, we did try other genres but nothing feels like home as much as rock music does.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Of the 3 of us that started this band, one guy was my best friend since grade school and the other was my cousin who I’d never said a word to in 16 years of life haha. We are all brothers now and close as hell.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Mine (Travis) is probably Rise Against Steven’s is Skillet Tyler loves Brittany Spears

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Life, Love, Loss, and all the beautifully tragic thing in between.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was in our hometown of Chickasha, OK! We have a ton of gigs coming up though all over the place!

7. Where would you like to act?

I think it would be cool to guest appear in some other band's videos especially bands we like.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

If you are asking about a movie feature it’d be John Cusack, music Shinedown

9. Whom not?

Again if its a movie Amy Schumer, music I’d try about anything once

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Hell yeah all of us at one point! Tip one or two drinks before the show. Tip two close your eyes haha. Tip three just let the music do its work and have fun!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Foo Fighters, Rise Against, Smashing Pumpkins, Shinedown, Seether, Papa Roach 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Someone once stole our bass player. They brought him back but he was traumatized and never the same. True story.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the best! Our old school's ones and our new ones! It’s truly like a big family, when you meet us you are in for life cause we are down to earth fun as hell people!

14. What do you think of our site?
