Interviews: Endless Garden

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Metal band Endless Garden from Switzerland. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Everyone suggested some ideas about topics we like and words with a good sonority and we mixed two of our favorite suggestions to get "Endless Garden" as a result.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We have all been fans of progressive metal for years and we like to add complexity to our songs, it was a logical choice for us!

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yeah! We all met in elementary school, it's crazy how we all formed a band ten years after meeting as children.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Franck: Insomnium

Zachary: Haken

Raoul: Porcupine Tree

Morgane: Caligula's Horse

Nicola: Symphony X

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We are passionate about the energy and feelings that some bands can put into music and we try to do the same! This a big challenge to make music with such bands around like Opeth and Leprous.

6. Where was your last gig?

It was in June at the EMA (Actual Musics School in Geneva) where Zachary (our drummer) was a student for two years.

7. Where would you like to act?

Our dream would be to hit big stages like Wacken, but also tour in small venues across the world! We're not picky, playing anywhere is a great opportunity.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

If we had only one choice it would be with Einar Solberg, singer of Leprous! He has such a unique voice!

9. Whom not?

Anyone who is a bad person. We want to work with good human beings and we condemn the ones acting like trash.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

We all suffer from stage fright to a certain level! The best thing to do is to hit the most stages possible. Each time the stress comes later. A good tip is to drink something, sometimes a beer just to disinhibit yourself a bit. Breathing slowly and laughing with people also help!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We listen to a lot of bands but our principal inspirations are Katatonia, Leprous, Karnivool, and Opeth.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I cannot think of weird things from our fans for now because we don't have many haha!

13. What do you think of your fans?

I think that they are amazing! We make music to create a link with people and it's awesome to get feedback and people loving our music!

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is awesome! You bring to light some great bands with interviews, articles, and music links, and the graphical design is excellent!

15. Something to add?

Thank you for supporting us and stay tuned! We'll release new music next year with another level of quality!
