Behind The Artworks: Monachopsis - As the Dreamer (2023)

With the debut record we went with a very literal interpretation of FROM MIND TO EYE. This time we wanted something a little more interpretive but still meaningful. We started with the image of the opening doorway to other worlds, as all the tracks in some way touch on the supernatural or some form of otherworldliness, albeit in a very human way. This initial sketch then developed initially into an opening doorway on a forsaken planet for the first draft, which we then dropped in favour of a cathedral scene. We handed quite a loose brief with a few sketch ideas to the artist who came back with the absolutely stunning piece of art you see before you.
