Behind The Tracks: Bosque De Hualles - Crepuscular (Single) (2023)

1. What can you say about this first single of Bosque de Hualles, titled “Crepuscular”?

Well, after a long process of creation, we are very glad to share this first bit of our upcoming album. It’s also the very first song that was completed in this process and I think it was natural for us all to give it its right place to see the world before the other songs.

2. What is the meaning of “Crepuscular”?

“Crepuscular'' is roughly translated as “that moment between twilights”, amidst sunsets and sunrises, and that’s where the songs dwells; a place where souls inhabit so they can see themselves as they are, which easily can be a lonely yet beautiful place facing our mortality.

3. Which one is the composer of Bosque de Hualles upcoming album?

The backbone of the album, including this first single, was composed by Cesar Antilef and Juan “Woe” Acevedo, meaning the music structure on acoustic and bass guitars along the song titles. After that was done, they sent me the tracks to develop these concepts in words and voices, with Andrei Oltean from Romania sending his winds too along the way. It was very challenging work, considering we are all from different places, even inside Chile where most of us live.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

We haven’t revealed much from the album besides this single… but I’ll play along and say that “Páramos” (“Wastelands”) is maybe my favorite track of the album.

5. Is there a special message in “Crepuscular”?

There's no other intention than making our most honest and sincere music. I think the poetic approach of it will give that special message to each listener.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

All of our songs are in Spanish, so I’ll share a translation for “Crepuscular”

The soul goes
flies into the night
and lying in the twilight sea
my loneliness breathes
The dawn breaks every morning
until the death of the sun
and lying in the twilight sea
my loneliness breathes

7. Which inspirations have been important for this single/upcoming album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

One of the most important inspirations for me is the people I work with, my fellow musicians and friends in Bosque de Hualles. It is their music, dedication, and sensitivity that pushes me to live up to it and give my best. But all of this would not be possible without the constant love and support from my beloved life partner, Gloria, who I’m eternally grateful to have in my life.

8. Something to add?

Thanks for the interview! and we hope you enjoy our music as much as we did making it. Take a listen to “Crepuscular” and look for our social network sites on Instagram, Youtube and Facebook!
