Interviews: Etched Horizon

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Atmospheric Death Metal/Black Metal band Etched Horizon from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

The idea for the band name was an inspiration by when I was watching a sunset on the deck of the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I've loved post-metal, atmospheric black metal, and progressive metal for a long time and wanted to make a unique version with a combination of these.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

This is a solo effort. The only member is me on every instrument and extreme vocals.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

I have thousands of favorite bands. I am a literal encyclopedia of metal.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

My emotions and life experiences inspire me to write music artistically.

6. Where was your last gig?

Recording only project at the moment.

7. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

I've been in other local bands over the years and I've never experienced stage fright.

8. What bands have inspired you the most?

Too many bands to count that I love.

9. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

The weirdest thing a fan asked me about is either playing at their birthday party or signing my name on particular body parts.

10. What do you think of your fans?

I don't have many fans for this project yet. But I cherish anyone who enjoys and shares my music.
