Interviews: Inherently Lost
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Metal band Inherently Lost from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
Our vocalist Mark was inspired by a book he was reading about how there is something in people and animals that is not learned behavior, instinctual almost. Combined with the Lost state of humanity you get Inherently Lost.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
I've been a metalhead my whole life and the first time I saw Rob Halford wearing assless chaps, I knew I wanted to be on stage performing just like him. Maybe one day with him.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
I knew Mark from the local metal scene. Noreen, Mikey, and Drew I only met during their auditions.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Hard to pick a favorite but pulling the trigger real quick would be:
Joe: Godflesh
Mark: Heaven Shall Burn
Noreen: Epica
Mikey: Motley Crue
Drew: Iron Maiden
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Life, experiences, sounds, booze, anger, love, hate, god, the devil, and sex.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our headline show is at Westside Bowl in Youngstown Ohio. It's a pretty hip place that has 2 stages with professional sound along with bowling, an arcade, and a built-in record shop.
7. Where would you like to perform?
Elon Musk’s basement would be sweet! But seriously, playing the Louder than Life festival would be awesome.
8. Whom would you like to perform with?
Tool, Rob Halford, Twisted Sister, Kiss, Bon Jovi, and did I say Tool already?
9. Whom not?
No one. Unlike other bands, we will play with anyone regardless of genre.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Nope. Gotta just go out and give it your all. I have found my assless chaps give me some serious confidence and ego boost on stage.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Tool, Gojira, Meshuggah, Godflesh
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
A Reach Around, but it's only fair that it was after a Cleveland Steamer and halfway through Turkish Snowcone. Even trade for an autograph if you ask me.
13. What do you think of your fans?
They are the best, but some need to take a shower…just kidding. Love that they support us, especially with merch sales. We will have 2 new badass t-shirt designs along with the new album Art of Corruption this spring.
14. What do you think of our site?
I dig it.
15. Something to add?
