I actually ordered and paid for a cover from a few cartoon magazine artists involved with the Heavy Metal magazine. It turned out quite well but I felt like it did not exactly match with the mood of the album so I eventually turned to the current cover, describing the ancient deity rising above the destruction of humanity. The same God the name track monastery inhabitants exalt.
