Interviews About Albums: DAMN FREAKS - 3 (2023)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Italian Hard Rock band DAMN FREAKS to ask questions about their album "3"

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

This album is a new episode of our career. New members in the band and a new way of recording and producing it. Much more professional respect for the past.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

It just means continuity. Many bands like Led Zeppelin, Extreme, Firehouse, Winery Dogs used this title.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

Basically, all the songs are written by Alex and Giulio, but we do not ever forget that in a band, arrangements are important almost like writing and that's something that we always do together

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

It's hard to choose for us, we love all of them. But if we really have to pick one, probably, I would say Damn Burning Mercy. It represents us in the best way.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

Not really, we just like to play Rock'n'Roll, and we have a lot of fun in what we do. Stories of life with good music.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

Our songs simply tell of one's own experience. We deal with serious topics and serious months. Just to name a couple, Crazy Ride talks about the experience of our drummer who, when he was 13 years old, discovered his love for music through the Bon Jovi album “Slippery When Wet” which made him decide to do the musician. That song is dedicated to them and Alec John Such. The other, however, My Resurrection, talks about the rebirth after the bad Covid period and how the strong powers influenced what happened.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

No one to thank especially. Like I was saying before, our songs are inspired by personal life experiences. Family, friends, and music influences are part of our songs. That means that we have to thank all of them.

8. Something to add?

Support original good music
