Interviews: Crush The Core

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band Crush The Core from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

We came out with various names and after searching, most were already taken and we picked one that was free and it's Crush the Core.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because it is the genre we like to play.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we played together before in another band.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Well, we don't have "A" favorite band. Too many great bands to list!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It depends on who writes the most lyrics. The way we do it, all starts with voice melodies. When it's done, some of us like to write a few words that fit usually with a verse and the voice melodies we found, and like that... ideas will pop up and a story will follow. And one of us likes to read stuff and builds (writes) stories about what he has read. Both methods work for us!

6. Where was your last gig?

Laval, (Qc) Canada with our ex-band!

7. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any "Big names" in the business would be very nice.

9. Whom not?

No one.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really. Nervous a little, yes. We like to play and we also like to be on stage. Tips: It's normal to be nervous. Know your songs, and practice together the most you can. Sound problems are the major issues during gigs. If you don't hear you or the other guys in the band... You have to know your shit!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We are inspired by so many bands and genres. But we can say that in Crush the Core, the roots of the band are inspired by bands like Black Sabbath, Corrosion of Conformity Black Label Society, Metallica, etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We can't say that here lol

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're great but actually, we need more of them. Could you help us?
