Behind The Tracks: Echoes Of The Fallen - Cease To Exist (Single) (2024)

The song came about during the early stages of the pandemic lockdown. Josh (guitars) came up with the main riffs, and worked with our bassist at the time (Simon Ferriere) to flesh out the structure. Leads, drums, vocals, and synths were then added. Tyler (vocals): The lyrics to Cease to Exist is kind of my way of ending an era of what Echoes were as a band before joining. It definitely seems like a stereotypical song about the end of humanity and the world, but I wanted it to be one of the last songs lyrically about it as we move into a slightly different direction towards lyrics and structure that I think people can relate to a little more.
