Interviews: DEADAUDIOSAINTS

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Electronic Rock band DEADAUDIOSAINTS from the UK. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or did it just come out like that?

The band name was one of those light bulb moments that just stuck. We played around with a few different variations but we decided on ‘Deadaudiosaints’ pretty much as soon as we said it. We thought it was catchy and unique enough to fit us.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

The idea with ‘Deadaudiosaints’ was for us to play stuff that we enjoyed playing regardless of what genre it sat in. Especially coming from backgrounds/ bands where the genre stereotype was too easy.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

We all have quite a close-knit connection. Danny & Corey are brothers. Damon is a close family friend. Our production guy Luke went to School with Damon. So we’ve all known each other for quite a while.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Danny - Placebo

Corey - Metallica

Damon - Korn

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

For me (Danny) I pull inspiration from my own mood or from a situation. Sometimes that inspiration can be a negative or positive thing. As long it delivers a product or idea then it’s cool.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played a small hometown show to blow the cobwebs off but our last gig was Rescue Rooms in Nottingham. It was a great gig with some other cool bands. It wasn’t our show. But it’s always cool when you can pull in some new fans with some of the faithful.

7. Where would you like to play?

UK I have always wanted to play Manchester Apollo, I’ve always thought it’s such a cool venue. I would also love to play The Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, so many cool bands have played there.

8. Who would you like to support?

Dream supports would be Placebo or Marilyn Manson (Danny), Metallica or Thirty Seconds to Mars (Corey) Korn, or Deftones (Damon).

9. Who not?

That tough question really. I don’t think there is a definite not for any of us.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not really. You get more of an adrenaline rush than stage fright. Tips to beat it - remember why you are about to go on stage, be that for a goal or fun, and stick to that. As long as you and the audience have fun that’s the main thing.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

There are too many to list as a collective. Seriously it's endless. Placebo, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Deftones, Metallica, 30stm, Crosses, Nine Inch Nails. I could probably go on forever with that kind of list.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Oh my! The weirdest thing definitely will not be repeated hahahaha!!! But an empty used bottle was pretty weird.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Grateful and appreciated. If our music connects with someone enough to become a fan - stream our music, come to a show, buy some merch, then that’s pretty cool. Music is a personal experience and preference. So if what we write resonates with someone, the connection is more than a physical thing.

14. What do you think of our site?

Super cool. Any site pushing all levels of music is great. More of this needs to happen to discover new/ interesting bands.

15. Something to add?

Connect with us on whatever social media platform you use. Make sure you listen to our tunes. Stream or buy ‘To Whom It May Concern…’ in May. Tell your friends, family, everyone about us. See you at a show soon. For more, see - https://www.deadaudiosaints.com/home
