Interviews: I Colori del Buio
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Gothic Metal/Doom Metal/Black Metal band I Colori del Buio from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?
Hi, Luca's here from I Colori del Buio. Well, about the artwork of our first EP, it's a photo taken on one of my last trips to Scotland. The rock, called Old Mann of Storr, inspired me to the majestic vibes I want to pass you while you listen to the EP. Something like "Wow, that's a Lovecraft scenery, it will be awesome!"
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
I love this kind of genre, is a mashup of what each member likes, from Black Sabbath and Candlemass vibe, passing from cold Scandinavian death metal to doom death metal such as Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Moonspell, and also Type o Negative. Each member likes this stuff and we are a very good band!
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
We are in 3 for now, before the band I knew only Fabio, we were co-workers. The project was born by chance while talking about music while drinking a beer
4. Each band member's favorite band?
In our opinion there is no favorite band but the band that gives you the most emotions and inspiration based on the moment that each of us is experiencing
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Our music comes out from horror movies and books, so if you like ghosts, vampires, zombies or the dreadful worlds of HP Lovecraft we are in the same line!
6. Where was your last gig?
Now, we are a fresh new band so we haven't done any gigs or concerts, we are only in three-person ahah
7. Where would you like to act?
The project is to realize the full album, I hope for the end of the year, find the remaining members, and do some concerts!
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
I like the future feature with some names of the Italian metal scene, for doing some memorable songs!
9. Whom not?
With a trapper
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
We played in stages in the past, I have a little fright now but it will vanish at the moment, I hope so!! ahah
We can recommend that a beginner drink a few beers before going on stage ahah!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
There are several that I won't list, but all from the Scandinavian gothic/black scene
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
If we did Maneskin covers...
13. What do you think of your fans?
When we have them, I hope our future fans will feel the vibe of the horror books and movies through our songs, I'm working hard for it!
14. What do you think of our site?
I think your site is a beautiful pit lane for us ready to be known in the world of the metal scene!
15. Something to add?
So, greetings to all the fans who read this interview and listen to our EP available on every platform and support us, I promise you it's well worth it! The full album will also arrive soon, stay tuned.
