Interviews: Drymarchon

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Thrash Metal/Death Metal project, Drymarchon, from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the project on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

I used to have 21 different snakes and drymarchon is my favorite breed, they look like a cobra but do not hood up and are not venomous. They are the largest colubrid on earth.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I grew up on early thrash and old-school death metal in the 90s, and I’ve always been drawn to those bands. Sodom, and sacrifice, amongst others.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

I am behind everything in the band, I have guests here and there but I mainly do everything myself, live I’d prefer to play bass and sing like I did in Burial Oath.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Type o negative believe it or not since I was 12, Sodom

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Nature, mysticism,

6. Where was your last gig?

With manslaughter, molder, melting rot, and lurking corpses on bass for avowal. Drymarchon has not gigged yet, but I tour with my project OSI AND THE JUPITER and do live bass for Avowal.

7. Where would you like to act?

I’d like to play anywhere, but outside in nature and punk dive bars are my favorite. DIY shows are great too.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Sacrifice, sodom, damn so many, I’ve played Roadburn last year with OATJ when I did my last European tour.

9. Whom not?

Taylor Swift ha ha ha, no emissions here

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Just go out there and do it, you got nothing to lose, you’re art is the expression of your vision

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

My dad who is a musician

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Some asked if I could sign their socks at a fest I played this past year

13. What do you think of your fans?

I appreciate them, and I am fortunate to have them

14. What do you think of our site?

I appreciate the PR and support you give to artists as well as underground artists. Very helpful and I am appreciative

15. Something to add?

Go for your dreams, strive to do what you want
