In this new interview, we sat down with the American Sludge Metal/Stoner Metal/Doom Metal band Hollow Leg to ask questions about their album "Dust".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

It’s a new chapter for us as a band. We previously made 4 full-length LPs with a two-song EP (Murder) tossed in there and these EPs will mark a new phase of the band. Slight left turn stylistically, we’ve upped our game sonically adding a lot of newer nicer gear to our studio HQ, and working with Zeuss on mix/master… we’re super excited!

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

DUST is the first part of a two-part series, without giving away too much of what’s to come with the second installment, DUST is more or less in reference to post-apocalyptic remains…

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

It's a collective effort, all songs written and produced by Hollow Leg

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

From this record?! Either Holy Water or Another Day Dying, we’re really excited about those ones, some new ideas in there for us…

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what is it?

Heavy music is the message! Loud and heavy… lyrically, we want people to take what they want to take…

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

From the track Holy Water; Everything lost Everything gone Everything washed away

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Our coming back together as a band after a 3-year break and the pandemic and all that distance just refueled the ranks and lit a new flame under our asses to create and create at a higher level than we did previously
