Interviews: VERSO

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Alternative Metal band VERSO from France. Check out this band and follow them on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?

I chose it a long time ago when I was at school. I wanted to call the band Verso because I knew that I wanted to talk about hidden things nobody wants to see even if they are in everybody’s life.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

I’m a big fan of Black Metal, so I wanted to be close to that genre, but not too close to the point of being identified with it. Verso isn’t Black Metal (actually it’s really far away from that) but you can find some influences from that style, Doom, and also very melodic lines. That’s why we chose to say that Verso is “Alternative” because our style is very unique to me and doesn't fit completely in any genre.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

It’s a band with my mother, so we know each other from the very beginning

4. Each band member's favorite band?

My favorite band is Emperor and Sardinas’s favorite singer is Zazie

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The profound meaning of what hurts us in our life, without a doubt 6. Where was your last gig? We have never been on stage together yet! I have personally never done a concert in my life…

7. Where would you like to act?

We’d like to play some cool little festivals 8. Whom would you like to feature with? I don’t know yet!

9. Whom not?

With bands that would bring nothing artistically

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

We’ve never went on stage with Verso for now, so no we don’t have any tips

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Black Metal bands like Emperor, Gorgoroth, Windir, Deathspell Omega, Blut aus Nord, etc.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Nothing weird so far.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They’re actually really kind and cool. Hope it continues to be like this

14. What do you think of our site?

Cool stuff with good news and a nice website. I wish you to continue on this path
