Interviews About Albums: Meden Agan - My Name Is Katherine (2024)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Greek Symphonic Metal/Melodic Metal band Meden Agan to ask questions about their album, "My Name Is Katherine".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

We feel very good about the overall result, we are very happy because the outcome is aligned with the vision that we had in mind creating it. Also, we believe that this is the most technical, faster, and mature album to date.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

This is a concept album about the tragic story of a girl named Katherine.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

All the band members contributed to the composition of the songs, the concept story, and the lyrics by our lead singer Dimitra.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

That’s a tough question, I really love every song, but, if I had to pick one, that would be the first song of the album, Moth.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what is it?

There is no special message to say, the whole album revolves around Katherine, and everything is open for interpretation at the end.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

It’s from the final song of the album called “Transition”, I think it really captures the essence of the whole story with just those two lines:

When you open the door

You will see my true smile at last.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

A great source of inspiration for this album was when the whole story was presented to us by Dimitra, we were really intrigued by it and it was our driving force from beginning to the end, so maybe our heroine Katherine inspired us so we could tell her story.

8. Something to add?

Thank you very much for this interview, stay strong and healthy. We hope fans and newcomers to enjoy our newest creation and hope to see you on the road.
