Band Biographies: Apex Fallen
Apex Fallen, Houston’s rising metal powerhouse, blending the aggressive edge of Metalcore and Nu-Metal, Apex Fallen’s sound is a force to be reckoned with, drawing comparisons to heavyweights like Alpha Wolf, Architects, and Wage War.
Apex Fallen began their journey in 2020, founded by drummer Daniel Woody and vocalist Jeremy Hasson. Despite early challenges with lineup changes, the band persevered, releasing two impactful EPs, "Never The Lesser" (2020) and "Greater Than Misery" (2022), along with the single "Battle Born" in 2022. The lineup in February 2023, features Reis Divine on guitar and Erik Hartenstein on bass and backing vocals, joining the founding members.
This powerhouse lineup produced two singles, "Catastrophic" and "King Slayer" in 2023. After writing and planning for over a year and a half, Apex Fallen is ready to deliver a new era of their music with the release of both singles “Sum of It All” and "Hollow", followed by the full album "Sum of It All" on October 15th, 2024.
Apex Fallen’s relentless drive has led them to expand their presence beyond Houston, branching out to other Texas cities like Dallas, Bryan, and Austin. The band has also begun making waves across state lines into Louisiana, thanks to collaborations with Louisiana-based metal band Endure The Affliction. Together, they’ve played notable venues like My Place American Pub in Lake Charles, Feed & Seed in Lafayette, and R.A.D. Fest in Lafayette, contributing to the “Revive The Scene” movement in Louisiana.
With the departure of Jeremy Hasson following the release of “Sum of It All”, the remaining members have decided to continue onward as a three-piece with Erik Hartenstein taking over the role of vocalist. Even though the change was sudden, it had not slowed the drive in any way as Apex Fallen was able to perform their longest set to date only 3 weeks after the change. As of now, Apex Fallen is planning out even more music that will evolve and reinvent their sound further in 2025. As well as plans to venture out on tour runs to all new locations and markets with help and guidance from their management company Distilled Entertainment.
