Behind The Tracks: Labyrinthus Stellarum - Ravenous Planet (Single) (2024)

The song Ravenous Planet is one of the most progressive and complex songs by Labyrinthus Stellarum. The initial demo for the track was created in 2021, before the band was founded, and was an ambient/new-age composition. Only in 2024 did the demo begin its transformation into a full-fledged Labyrinthus Stellarum song.

The song tells the story of a space expedition in search of a new habitable planet. But the planet the expedition arrives on, hoping to become their new home, turns out to be a trap inhabited by a swarm of creatures with a collective mind. The heroes of the song fight the creatures, realizing that they are doomed.

Ravenous Planet is the first single from the next album Rift in Reality, which will be released in early 2025. The new album will be even more experimental and diverse than the previous one and will include both epic melodic tracks and heavy and aggressive ones. The album will also feature a bit more clean vocals than previous releases.
