In this new interview, we sat down with the French Sludge Metal/Doom Metal band Kaalbaår to ask questions about their album, "Hail Mangoth".

1. What can you say about Hail Mangoth?

This is our first EP. We've been working on this material for quite some time (during COVID and lockdown) and after many gigs, we realized it would be a good idea to be able to make some money because being rockstars sounds better than our actual jobs.

2. What is the meaning of the EP name?

You see, Mangoth is a great sorcerer and he wields the power of necromancy and casts Necro fire upon his enemies. As we are smart, we chose to be his messengers.

3. Which one is the composer of the Hail Mangoth?

Mangoth of course. We're only vessels.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. But on our EP it would be Mighty Bong.

5. Is there a special message in Hail Mangoth? If there is what it is?

If you listen to the record backward, we'll hear some hints about the secret location of the Great Mighty Bong.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

"We will all burn in the eternal Necro flames"

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

We'd like to thank our families and friends as well as all the bands we shared the stage with.
