Hector Castro (guitarist): Intended to motivate people like me, who’ve been too afraid to put the work in and fight for what
they really want in life. There are many points of inspiration for this song, but we just really hope it
gives listeners more confidence in themselves and what they’re capable of individually, and as part
of a collective.
The words stem from an intuition of a person yet to fulfil their potential. I had a lot of support
growing up, probably more than most. But all I did was take it for granted and I think I was too lazy
(or risk averse) to do the right thing. The song starts with a conversation with that side of me, and
ultimately it’s about taking back control and trying to finally build a life I wanted.
