Interviews: Archers

On this new occasion, we had the chance to interview the Metalcore band Archers from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or did it come out just like that?

The band name stems from an old band that Nathanael and Ben were in that became Archers.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

We love the energy in the room at metal concerts.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Nathanael and Oscar knew each other but we all came together as the band formed.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Nathanael - Reliant K

Oscar - Pvris

Ben - Motion City Soundtrack

Grayson - Black Veil Brides

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our songs stem from a place of being able to acknowledge and work through our life experiences, especially our struggles.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played in Toronto last night.

7. Where would you like to act?

We’d love to go to Japan and Australia.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We’d love to do a feature with Courtney Laplante from Spiritbox.

9. Whom not?

There are definitely artists where it wouldn’t make sense to work together but we’re not going to name any of them.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We all have in some way or another, but the only way through it is through it. Practice and experience.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

We’ve all been very inspired by I Prevail. They started out as underdogs but earned a massive following and have become one of the biggest names in rock and metalcore.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

They didn’t ask, they just went for it, but one of our members was licked by a fan once.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are incredibly sweet and their interest, support, and engagement with Archers is why we’re able to do what we’re doing. There’s a wonderful group of people standing alongside us that are giving us the opportunity to live out our dreams and we couldn’t be more thankful.

It’s very cool!
