Behind The Artworks: Cruzeiro - Hic Sunt Dracones (2025)

Regarding the cover, we spent a long time without deciding what to do very well until we had a clear concept, which started from the instrumental song that we named “Hic sunt dracones”. We did a little research to see what we could do for the cover and we found the portfolio of David Tejeiro, who is mainly a tattoo artist and we really liked a series of drawings that he named with the same name of “Hic sunt dracones”. In this series, there was a design that seemed to us exactly made as a cover of our new album and we spoke with him to find out if he was interested in having one of his work be part of our work. We are very happy with the decision and to be able to have his contribution for this LP.

 

It is a beautiful cover that is both aggressive and inspiring, full of the “dracones” or dragons and monsters that we talk about in our song of the same name of the album. Also, everything else behind the final layout wouldn’t be possible without the help of our good friend Beto, who always helps us with the final design of the different formats of our albums.
