Interviews: Stormbreaker

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Melodic Metal/Rock band Stormbreaker from the USA. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or came out like that?

It wasn't planned, but it came pretty naturally. It represents a force powerful enough to overcome whatever obstacle or situation.

2 . Why did you want to play this genre?

Every band member has almost the same background in music and in influences, so in a way we didn't choose this genre, the genre chose us 😉

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, and now, we are small-town people, so names were familiar. Our bassist is from another town, so he was unknown to others.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Petri: Masterplan

Sami: Steven Wilson

Tomi: Queenryche

Anni: Dream Theater

Anssi: Fröbelin Paligat

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Intuition, so songs come from the surrounding life.

6. Where was your last gig?

In Kerubi, musichouse in Joensuu, Finland.

7. Where would you like to act?

Festivals, preferably around Europe at least.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Beast In Black, Battlebeast.

9. Who not?

Dream Theater. hahha watching those guys play couple of nights and Im sure we would just sell our stuff and have real jobs ;) Kidding, would love to tour with them!

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Every gig, it is something that never actually goes away; you just learn to live with it. Deep breaths and don't try to hold the glass of water too long, let it go, and let things happen.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

So many, 80´s and 90´s metal, but to name a few: Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Pagan´s Mind, Queensryche...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To make her pregnant..

13. What do you think of your fans?

We think that we share the same energy with our fans, the same passion for the music.

14. What do you think of our site?

We love your site, and once again, it gives our music wings to spread to the people.
