Track By Tracks: Krematorium - Sinister Seduction (2025)

1. Stonehearst Asylum:

We thought a lot about which song would be the best choice for the first one because it's the most important when introducing yourself to new listeners. In the end, we picked this one. It's a fast and aggressive thrash metal song with a catchy chorus. The lyrics are obviously inspired by the thriller movie Stonehearst Asylum, but another great movie, Shutter Island, also had an influence on me.

2. Moonshine Rider:

I really like how this song turned out in the end. The lyrics are very dark, but the music isn’t as heavy, so I think it’s a great combination. Moonshine Rider tells the story of a man whose prime is behind him, and he can’t accept that he hasn’t achieved anything in his life. He turns to drinking, drugs, and eventually, starts contemplating suicide.

3. Manhunt:

This one is inspired by another movie.

I was watching one of the best thriller movies out there, a real classic called Deliverance. I was home alone and high, and I remember thinking how horrible it would be if something like that happened to me. So, I started writing the lyrics, and by the time the movie was over, we had the lyrics for a new song.

4. D.F.T.E.:

This song was written during the first COVID lockdown in 2020. It captures the strange and awkward times full of caution and fear. We could have released it back then, but we chose not to. It stands as a testament to that bizarre period.

5. Go Getter:

Go Getter is the heaviest metal song we’ve ever made, so far. The lyrics aren’t particularly deep, but they try to capture the magic of being on stage and feeling the crowd unite with the band. These lyrics were written during the summer, and for me, Go Getter has that sense of freedom and carefreeness that summer brings.

6. Scream ‘N’ Shout:

Another speed metal song with insane screams and fast riffs! This is one of my favorites on the album. The fact that our dear friend Leo is on vocals alongside me makes it even better. (This is the song we created the fastest — it took us less than an hour to go from nothing to a finished song.)

7. Reign Of Terror:

This song speaks about the cowardly act of attacking innocent people in the name of hate groups that exist all around the world. It's perhaps the most serious song on the album, asking questions about the consequences of our actions. (Lyrics: Erik Perušić)

8. Blackened Sky:

Inspired by a post-apocalyptic world, movies like Terminator, and video games like the Fallout series, which provided the perfect setting to write some of the most sinister lyrics we could come up with. (Lyrics: Erik Perušić)
