Track By Tracks: Plague Garden - Under The Sanguine Moon (2025)
Running from Satan. Written by our bassist, Stephen. Like many songs, it was influenced by the
end of a relationship, but ended up being more about the dissatisfaction of loss. There is a Sir
Walter Scott reference and a couple of other cultural references if you listen closely.
Religion. This song is the introduction to becoming a creature of the night. Vampires all over
the world are out, doing what they do best, even on the streets of Tokyo.
Shadows is about the nefarious entities looming around us all the time. Ready to pounce on
any opportunity. The minute your guard is down, the demons strike from the shadows.
The Dirty Dead. This song is about the Sanguine Moon arising in the Western sky. The undead
crawl their way up from underground. We are the dirty dead. We are forsaken. We will bathe
in your blood.
Pandora is inspired by Ancient Greece. This particular song is written by Azy Bats. They describe
tales of legends from the Greek pantheon. It's a tale of strong women figures in Greek
Mythology.
#1 Crush was originally written by Garbage. We chose to do this cover because it felt right with
our style and mood. It's definitely one of the more emotionally powerful songs to come out of
the ’90s.
Los Niños Perdidos is a simple song inspired by The Lost Boys. It's performed lyrically in Spanish,
showing a bit of our Latino side of our band.
Bloodfingers- Written by Stephen. It was inspired by a near-death experience. The white lights
referencing hospital lights and the black cat were a hallucination…or maybe an old pet waiting
for me on the other side.
Blood Debt is our bonus track. It was written by our guitarist at the time, Dæmien. Basically
means that payback's a bitch.
