Interviews: EverChanger

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band EverChanger from the USA. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or come up with it just like that?

We play this genre because we always try to change up our sound in some way, and we wanted a one-word band name that was easy to remember!2

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Metalcore is such a wide net and gives us a chance to experiment with various different genres in each song.

3. Did you know each other before starting the band?

Will met Cam & Jesse in a previous band together. When that band ended, they looked for a vocalist and found Cody the same day. Months later, when in need of a drummer, we all met Chris and have been a 5-piece ever since.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

William: Opeth

Cody & Chris: Currents

Cam & Jesse: Weezer

5. Who or what inspires you?

For instrumentals, creating is just something that has to be done, almost as a form of therapeutic release. As for lyrics, events that have happened in our vocalist Cody’s life, inner turmoil, and emotional expression.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last show was at a smaller venue called News Cafe. It was intimate, and we performed without Cody due to illness. It was an absolutely crazy show in the best ways.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would love to play Texas!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

It would be insane to get Post Malone on a feature.

9. Who not?

10. Have you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips?

We all have experienced it, but at this point, we are so accustomed to it. To beat it, we recommend continuing to play on stage, just like practice. Also, imagine your bandmates are completely naked, helps every time.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Our bassist and vocalist gave the answer here. Opeth and Bilmuri XD

12. What is the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Will has been asked for an autograph, and someone drew a vulgar drawing on our setlist one time. Cam was once traded an inhaler for merch.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They help us do what we do, and without them, there would be no crowd to play to. Our shows feel very familial, and we play for the audience, not ourselves.

14. What do you think of our site?

We honestly love sites to find new music, and especially ones that represent the underrepresented. I also want to add that I love the cursor on the computer. Very Metal
