Interviews: This Dying Hour

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band This Dying Hour from the UK. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it, or came out just like that?

It was actually our original drummer who came up with the name idea, where he got it from, I honestly think he just said it while drunk.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because it's the best.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, we actually met on an app.

4. Each band member's favourite band?

Ash - Sylosis

Nat - Status Quo

Alex - Westlife

Leo - While She Sleeps

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

That changes all the time, but behind it all, I'm always thinking about what I would like to listen to if I were stuck in traffic.

6. Where was your last gig? 

Sold out hometown show called Phoenix fest

7. Where would you like to act?

(Presume this means play?) America

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Devin Townsend or Josh Middleton

9. Who not?

Metallica, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Slayer.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Muse, Sylosis, and As I Lay Dying

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We once had a fan move from 4 hours away with no place to stay because she fancied our singer at the time. She asked us to get her BBQ dip from McDonald's for her dinner, but she didn't have any other food, so she just ate the dip raw. Unfortunately, that's not even a joke.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're the best... but invisible, though.
