Interviews: Limberlost
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Rock band Limberlost from the USA. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or came out like that?
The name was first brought into the room by our first guitar player, Ricky. It has a very cool folklore that kind of grew into our mission and how we feel we connect to our fans, whom we affectionately call the "Lost Ones".
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
Hmmm. We kind of leave the whole "Genre" thing up to you folks to define. We play rock mostly for the energy, I guess.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Originally, no, but this current lineup, we knew Steve, Devon, and Sammie for quite a while. 15 plus years or more.
4. Each band member's favourite band?
Steve's is Kiss, Mine is Led Zep, Devon's is Nothing More/Avenged Sevenfold. Brittany is Evanescence. Sammie is Jinger. And Tony's is XTC.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
This new album was written by myself and Brittany and it was entered into as a concept album. We have several songwriters so over the years we have had a few different styles that became the Limberlost fabric. This new direction however is more commercially focused.
6. Where was your last gig?
Sturgis Bike Rally opening for Liliac
7. Where would you like to act?
We'd love to go back to Europe. We had a blast on the run with Yngwie. We also would love to play all the major American and European festivals, cruises, heck, anywhere the fans are.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We've been blessed to share the stage with some amazing acts like Bush, Daughtry, Pop Evil, Saliva, etc. But folks, we haven't played with?
Halestorm, Evanescence, Linkin Park
9. Who not?
Anyone who would tarnish our reputation.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Dirty Honey comes to mind because they are killing it as an independent.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Signing body parts.
13. What do you think of your fans?
They are the "Lost Ones" and they are amazing!
14. What do you think of our site?
Really like your site. Tons of great content and a great place to discover new music!
15. Something you'd like to add?
Yes, please check us out on YouTube, Pandora, iTunes, and of course Spotify. If you like what you hear, give us a follow. And make sure to check out "Beautiful Scars" which dropped on June 13th. And lastly, thanks for having us and supporting what we do!
