Band Biographies: Toilet Snake

Toilet Snake is a three-piece sludge-doom powerhouse delivering raw, unrelenting heaviness straight from the depths of Milan. With Marco ripping through guitar and vocals, Davide crushing the bass, and Giacomo beating the drums like they owe him money, their sound is unapologetic and filthy. No gimmicks—just crushing riffs and unstoppable grooves.

 

Hailing from Italy and drawing inspiration from the NOLA scene, Toilet Snake has been crafting their abrasive sound since 2019. Their self-titled debut album, independently released in 2022, gained underground acclaim and was reissued in 2023 by DHU Records (Netherlands) as a sick limited-edition vinyl. The re-release, featuring artwork by renowned artist ZZCorpse, became an instant collector's item.

Critics and fans alike praised their debut: JJ Koczan of The Obelisk described it as “a beast of classic heavy riffing and sludgier intention.” Weedian, a cornerstone of the stoner/doom community, featured Toilet Snake in its Best Releases Spotify playlist and Trip to Italy compilation, a showcase of Italy’s finest stoner and doom acts.

 

Toilet Snake’s latest release, a four-track EP titled "Back from the Sewers", pushes their signature sound into even darker, grittier territory. Incorporating hardcore and punk elements alongside their sludge roots, the EP pays homage to the pioneers who shaped their musical path. Unpredictably faster and heavier, this new work pushes their raw energy further while staying true to their uncompromising attitude.
