Interviews About Albums: Vulnificus - Inclination (2025)

In this new interview, we sat down with the American Brutal Death Metal band Vulnificus to ask questions about their album, "Inclination".

1. What can you say about this new CD?

I can say that I am very grateful to Steve and Comatose Music for exposing our brand of brutal death metal to the fans of the genre, and I am proud of the members in my band for embarking on this journey with me. This album is our first, and I hope that it is enjoyable to all the fans who've been along for the ride and to the community at large who enjoy this music. We wanted to create a classic with this album, and we're hopeful that people will think of it that way.

2. What is the meaning of the CD name?

Inclination, by definition, means the natural urge or tendency to act in a particular way. The natural tendency is to be ourselves and let the people decide how they feel about our music. As a band, we feel that we can express ourselves in a way that's void of following trends or being like anyone else. I would say it's more of a reflection of our values than a title.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD?

We've all had a hand in composing. It was a collective effort.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Insurmountable Insurrection. I chose that song because it's the one that had the most influence on me.

5. Is there a special message on this CD? If there is what it is?

Remain true to yourself, just like the title of the album says. The concept of the album is about medical malpractice and murdering the world through medicine and pharmaceuticals. It's a continuation of the lyrical themes on our second EP, "INVOCATION" since we wrote that during the end of the C19 pandemic and the psychological and spiritual effects of the medical industry inflicting its way into the world.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

Taken from "Inexplicably Beguiled"..... "In time, the world will find that they've been defiled of their reality.  In time, the Earth will find the truth has been exposed as a lie."

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

I gather influences from all over the spectrum. Musician friends and colleagues, and the overall trials and tribulations of life. I would just like to specifically thank my band members for inspiring me to be better, and the fans who give me the strength to continue working hard and making music.

8. Something to add?

INCLINATION, our first album, will be released on October 10th on Comatose Music, and you can pre-order your merchandise and CD there. Our first single, "THE INFILTRATION" is now available to listen to on our Bandcamp and on all streaming platforms. You can visit that by going to one of the links below
